Didn't seem to help with the hair loss. I gave it 3 stars because of the pleasant smell, not overpowering and seemed to give my hair moisture but just didn't help with the main problem.

I was getting a haircut from my hairdresser and she said that my hair was thinning out. I am almost in my mid 30's and as we all know the older you get the less hair you start having lol. My hairdresser swore by this product and I have been using it ever since. I will not go back to any in-store shampoos. I can say that my hair looks like it's been at a stand still. This product stops your hair in it's place and eventually can start to thicken your hair. It's a product that needs to be taken more than once. I would say at least 1-2 bottles and you will see a difference. You can only find this product in a salon or online. I would suggest buying it from here as it's also a bit cheaper, why not save a few bucks as well. Enjoy!

This product is excellent and well worth the extra bucks you pay especially for persons with thinning hair. It seems to lather using less than over the counter shampoos, thereby saving money and making up the difference in costs.

Received my order in normal time. When I opened the package it was two conditioners rather than the shampoo conditioner. I emailed the company and heard back a few days later giving me new options. I wrote back giving him my choice and asked how to proceed. Never heard back from him and it's been a month. Attempted again a couple weeks ago and nothing again.

My Mom's hair started thinning when she was around 50. My son was treated with chemo at 21. The cancer center told us about Nioxin products. Both of us started using it and we have had a full head of hair ever since. That was over 20 years ago. It is a great product. It will not bring hair back that has been lost but it will sure prevent bald spots, etc.

I don't have a hair loss problem, but that could be because I've been using Nioxin Shampoo for years (maybe 15+ years, I'm 52) as a dandruff and anti-itch wash. If I use another shampoo for more than two times in a row, the scalp is itchy for weeks. I've learned not to stray. My two daughters unfortunately inherited dandruff genes from both my husband and me. They can't use anything but Nioxin either. I tested Selsun Blue on them and the white flakes showed up. They seem to have it really bad--huge white flakes since 5 (now 12 & 14). I grew up w/ Selsun and thought I could get away with a cheaper alternative, but NO! didn't work on us. Nioxin is the best and only thing for us.-- The smell is menthol. In the summer, it's so cool & refreshing. We don't have a problem with the scent.-- No. 3 is great for color treated hair. I don't have full coloring, just highlighting. I haven't notice any color stripping yet. If there's any color issues, it's more likely from overusing the blow dryer.-- Also, I figure No. 3 is better for my children since there's likely less chemicals than #1 for non-color treated hair.-- Since the consistency may get thick over time, I find the shampoo spreads easier if I wet my hair and scalp thoroughly first before pouring out the shampoo. Once I get the shampoo in my hands, I quickly go under the water stream to wet my hair again, then apply shampoo for a rich lather.-- For light conditioning, I add 4-5 drops of argan oil (I have long layered hair…

Nioxin Scalp Recovery Medicating Cleanser is one of the best shampoo's I have ever used. It has cured my itching scalp and stopped my hair from falling out. You only use a small amout. it lathers good and leaves your hair and scalp feeling really clean. My wife is using Nioxin now. Her hair was falling out due to a medical problem. Nioxin Scalp Recovery Medicating Cleanser has cured her problem. I would reccomend Nixocin to any one with a hair or scalp problem.

I'm not going to write a novel, but this product works. I received it about three days after I ordered it which is amazing. I think they should have checked the cap to make sure it's tight before putting tape on it, because one of the bottles leaked a minor bit out, not significant. Within the first couple of weeks, my hair started to feel noticably thicker. I have what you call 'Widow's Peaks' and it seems to be filling in. Also strands of hair are starting to sprout out on the top of my forehead, where my hair receaded these last few years. What else is interesting is that there is less hair being shed, which is huge. I used to have super thick hair until this stressful job had me going crazy. I feel that with this product, I'm able to worry about one less thing in my life, which is always a good thing. I didn't buy the conditioner or other products do to limited funds.

I have read a lot about the benefits of Neem and Tea Tree and was excited to try this product since these were the first two ingredients. It seems to be working well and my head is happy. It has a very nice scent and you can't even smell the Tea Tree or Neem.

My mom and I both use this and we can tell a big difference in the amount of hair that we lose when washing our hair. Excellent product highly recommend

For a while I thought it was to expensive and stopped using this product. I could soon tell the difference in my hair and glad I went back before I lost all my hair

This shampoo is wonderful for anyone, male or female, with thin and/or thinning hair. Gives your hair body and makes it feel thicker. My stylist uses it, and even though my hair is highlighted he told me to use the regular formula, not the one marked for treated hair. Lather it up and leave it on your hair while you shower, then rinse. It has a nice, sort of minty fresh, aroma. Highly recommended.For some reason I had a problem with the delivery of this item. But it finally came. It cost more when I was buying it at the beauty salon. Haven't seen it for sale anywhere else. I plan to try some of the other products in this line.

I have been using this product for last 2 years and it has been pretty good. The shampoo leaves your hair soft after the shower and your hair "looks" thicker than when you don't use it. So, I have really enjoyed using this product.
